Truck refers to the area on and surrounding the truck located between Elektro and CT Hall. Default Box refers to the boxes located on A Site — next to the red shipping container. Highway is the name given to the fairly narrow stretch of hill that connects Mid to A Site. Quad refers mainly to the location behind these boxes (most of which isn’t visible from A Main and Catwalk), but can also refer to the area in front of the boxes. A Site is the entire region between quad down to Catwalk, A Main and Forklift.
Eagle eyed fans have identified this as a part of the Cache map, although with a new look that is quite different to the community map that was updated a few years ago. On the official CS2 X account, the header image for the https://wine-lady.com/ profile has been updated to a concrete and dirt floor in a virtual world. So — whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the game, now’s the perfect time to dive into the updated Cache and see what all the hype is about. Given Cache’s history and the overwhelming support from players — many believe it’s only a matter of time before it’s back in the spotlight. Throughout 2024, he shared sneak peeks of the updated map, showing off its modern look and improved features.
Easily the most boring map to watch + play though… even in like 2017 when I loaded it up I go zzzzzz FMPONE first teased a CS2 remake of the fan favorite map in February 2024, with the map eventually being released on CS2’s workshop in March of this year. After it’s downloaded (just make sure Cache is enabled in your map selection), and hope it doesn’t get voted out of the veto. If your internet connection is slow (it’s possible that the map will take too long to download before you join the game), resulting in a ban.
Now that we’ve begun discussing the Cache map — it’s a good moment to revisit the items in this collection. An updated version of Cache for CS2 was added by the map creator to the Steam Workshop — and he shared this news on his X page.
The effect of competition on teams and the sequence of vetoes.
This refers to the area behind the boxes at the back of B Site. B Default is the safest/most common plant spot, just behind the boxes to the front of the bombsite (Hell/Heaven side). B Site is the area that the bomb can be planted within on the B bombsite (i.e. the entire raised area). B Offen is a less-commonly used call, but refers to the area between B Site and Hell, Checkers, and B Halls. Sun Room refers to the room containing a painting of a sun, that you access from B Halls. B Main refers to the area between B Site (Checkers and B Halls), but some players also refer to B Hall as B Main.

On February 17, 2024, Cache’s remake was released by FMPONE, leaving the community amazed. The prevailing preference for Mirage and Dust II at Rio 2026 highlights a professional scene that is leaning towards maps focused on aiming, where personal skills can offset tactical deficiencies. The philosophy behind Cache’s mid control significantly differs from that of any map currently featured in the Active Duty pool. Following the IEM Cologne Major, scheduled to take place at LANXESS arena from June 2 to June 21, Cache is expected to join the Active Duty lineup.
The remake faced backlash from the community, and Valve could not acquire the rights to the map since fmpone declined to sell it. Dust2 retains double doors at A long; does this imply it isn’t a remake? A remake implies that no original props from the old map should be reused; consider Overpass, Train, and Inferno as true remakes. This one merely serves as a port, yet the term “remake” is still applied. They simply uploaded an image of tspawn for the highway. The mid window has been removed — and the APC on A site with its awkward angles has been substituted with a shipping container, while the skybox has been adjusted to facilitate more smoke lineups, etc. Regardless, remaking the map must have been an enjoyable experience.
